Questions, answered.
Straight answers about what Fieldwork does, what it costs, how each tool connects to the way you already work, and what it doesn't do.
Getting started
Fieldwork takes repetitive office work off owner-run businesses. There are two ways to use us: self-serve tools you switch on in your own client portal, and done-for-you automation projects that we quote and build for you.
The tools cover the jobs that eat a small team's week: answering website questions, drafting email and review replies, following up leads, writing quotes, onboarding new customers, chasing unpaid invoices, appointment reminders, CRM data entry, a weekly numbers report and sorting the support inbox.
Link to this answerSmall, owner-run businesses where the owner or a small team handles the admin: clinics, trades, studios, shops and agencies. If your team spends hours a week on the same emails, reminders and data entry, it is probably a fit.
Link to this answerCreate an account and verify your email. Your 14-day free trial of every tool starts straight away, with no card needed.
Not ready for an account? Run the free automation audit to see where your team's time goes, try a tool on the Try it page, or work out your own savings with the ROI calculator.
Link to this answerYou tell us about your team, your hourly cost and the tasks that repeat every week. You get a report with the tasks worth automating first and an estimate of the hours and money they could save.
The figures are estimates based on what you tell us, not a promise of results. Actual savings vary.

Link to this answerYes. Once you pay for 3 or more tools, every monthly price is 15% off. Setup fees are never discounted.
Tools still on your free trial, tools we include for free, and tools set to cancel don't count toward the 3.
Link to this answerThe trial lasts 14 days and needs no card. It starts when you verify your email, and each email address gets one trial.
Every tool unlocks together, each with its own trial allowance: Website Chatbot 50 chats and 1 website; Email Reply Drafter 10 drafts; Review Replies 10 replies; Lead Follow-up 25 emails and 50 leads; Quote Generator 3 quotes; Client Onboarding Docs 2 onboarding packs; Invoice Chaser 5 invoices; Appointment Reminders 10 reminder emails; CRM Data Entry 10 records; Weekly Ops Report 2 reports; Support Triage 20 support emails. When a tool reaches its allowance it pauses until you buy it, and the other tools keep going. Tools we add during your trial join it automatically.
Link to this answerWe email you before it ends. When it does, any tool you haven't bought locks. Your settings and history stay in your account, so if you buy a tool later you pick up where you left off. Nothing is charged unless you buy.

Each tool
What it does: a chat assistant on your website that answers visitors' questions from the pages and FAQs you give it. When a visitor leaves their name and email, it's saved as a lead.
How you connect it: give it your site's pages and FAQs in the portal, then paste one line of code onto your website. It only runs on the web addresses you allow.
What you still do: keep its content up to date and read the conversations.
Trial: 50 chats and 1 website. Paid: 2,000 chats a month, up to 3 websites. Price: $900 one-time setup, then $79 a month.
Link to this answerWhat it does: writes a reply to a customer email in your voice, based on what you want the reply to do.
How you connect it: paste the email into the portal, or forward emails to your private drafts address and a draft is waiting for you.
What you still do: check the draft, then copy it or open it in your own email app and send it yourself. Fieldwork never sends these.
Trial: 10 drafts. Price: $300 one-time setup, then $29 a month.
Link to this answerWhat it does: drafts a reply to a customer review that fits its star rating.
How you connect it: paste the review and its stars, or forward Google, Yelp or Facebook new-review notification emails to your private reviews address. If a notification only shows part of the review, paste the full text.
What you still do: post the reply yourself. We give you a link to open the review.
Trial: 10 replies. Price: $600 one-time setup, then $39 a month.
Link to this answerWhat it does: sends your own 1 to 4 step email sequence to new leads, and stops for anyone who replies or unsubscribes.
How you connect it: leads come in from your private lead web address (website forms or Webhooks by Zapier), your lead email address, your website chatbot, a CSV import or by hand. You can choose to enroll new leads automatically and send them to HubSpot or Pipedrive if you've connected one. People who unsubscribed or were stopped are never enrolled again.
What you still do: write or approve the emails, turn the sequence on, and talk to the leads who reply.
Trial: 25 emails and 50 leads. Paid: 2,000 emails a month. Price: $1,200 one-time setup, then $79 a month.
Link to this answerWhat it does: turns a job description into a quote priced only from your own rate card, then sends it as a branded page your customer can read, download as a PDF and accept online.
How you connect it: add your services and prices to your rate card once, plus your business details and logo. Nothing else to connect.
What you still do: check every line before sending. A quote with an unpriced line can't be sent.
Trial: 3 quotes. Price: $2,200 one-time setup, then $99 a month.
Link to this answerWhat it does: writes a welcome pack and intake form for a service, and sends them to a new customer as a branded page they can fill in.
How you connect it: describe the service in the portal. Your business details and logo are added for you.
What you still do: review the pack before sending and act on the answers.
Trial: 2 onboarding packs. Price: $1,400 one-time setup, then $49 a month.
Link to this answerWhat it does: emails each customer polite reminders before and after an invoice is due, and shows what's overdue at a glance.
How you connect it: add unpaid invoices by hand or import them from a CSV. It doesn't connect to QuickBooks or Xero.
What you still do: mark invoices paid so the reminders stop, and handle any dispute yourself.
Trial: 5 invoices. Paid: 1,000 reminders a month. Price: $1,500 one-time setup, then $59 a month.
Link to this answerWhat it does: emails each customer a reminder before their appointment with Confirm and Reschedule links, and shows you who confirmed.
How you connect it: paste your calendar's private link, or add appointments yourself. Appointments without a customer email get no reminder.
What you still do: arrange a new time when someone asks to reschedule.

How you connect it: forward your support inbox to your private support address with a Gmail or Outlook rule.
What you still do: check each draft and send it from the portal. Replies go from Fieldwork's sending address with your business name, threaded under the customer's email.
Trial: 20 support emails. Paid: 2,000 emails a month. Price: $2,000 one-time setup, then $129 a month.

Connecting your systems
Lead Follow-up gives you a private web address. Point your website form at it, or send leads to it from Webhooks by Zapier. It accepts form fields or JSON, understands common field names like name, email, phone, company and message, and can send visitors on to your own thank-you page.
A lead needs an email or a phone number. Repeat submissions from the same person update the same lead instead of creating a new one. If the address ever leaks, make a new one in the portal and the old one stops working straight away.
Link to this answerSome tools give you a private email address to forward to: one for lead emails, one for customer emails you want drafted, one for review notifications and one for your support inbox. You set up a forwarding rule or filter in Gmail or Outlook, or forward single emails by hand.
When Gmail sends its forwarding confirmation code, it appears on the tool's page in your portal, so you can finish the setup without hunting for it.
Link to this answerYou paste your calendar's private link (the secret address, often called an iCal or ICS link) from Google Calendar, Outlook or another calendar app. We only read it. You can also add appointments by hand.
Link to this answerCRM Data Entry can send the records you save to HubSpot or Pipedrive. You paste a HubSpot private app token or a Pipedrive API token into the portal. We store it encrypted and only ever show it masked.
Sync is one way: we create contacts, companies, deals and follow-up tasks in your CRM. We don't read your CRM or change what's already there. You can also export your records as a CSV.
Link to this answerYes. Invoice Chaser imports unpaid invoices from a CSV, Lead Follow-up imports leads from a CSV with a preview so you can match the columns, and the Weekly Ops Report can take extra numbers from a CSV or a published spreadsheet link.
Link to this answerYou paste one short line of code into your website, the same way you would add an analytics tag. It only answers on the web addresses you allow in the portal.

What we don't do
No. Invoice Chaser works from invoices you add by hand or import from a CSV, which most accounting software can export.
Link to this answerNo. We never ask for your email password or access to your mailbox. Tools that work with email use forwarding to a private address instead, and you choose exactly what you forward.
Link to this answerNo. Review Replies drafts the reply. You copy it and post it yourself on Google, Yelp or Facebook, and we give you a link to open the review.
Link to this answerNo. Email Reply Drafter writes the draft. You copy it or open it in your own email app, check it and send it yourself.
Support Triage is the one tool that can send a reply for you, and only when you press send in the portal. It goes from Fieldwork's sending address with your business name, not from your own inbox.
Link to this answerHubSpot and Pipedrive only, and only one way: from Fieldwork into your CRM. For any other CRM, export your records as a CSV.
Link to this answerNo. Use Webhooks by Zapier and send leads to your private lead web address. The steps are on the Lead Follow-up page in your portal.
Link to this answerNo. Appointment Reminders reads your calendar through its private link only. We never sign in to your calendar and can't change your appointments.

Data, privacy and security
With the hosting and database providers we use to run the service. Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, CRM tokens are stored encrypted, and access is limited to people who need it to run the service. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
Link to this answerNo. We don't sell personal information and we don't use it for advertising. You own the content you give us and your customers' data, and we only use it to provide the service to you.
Link to this answerYou can choose the model that writes your drafts: Claude Sonnet 5.5, GPT 5.5 or Gemini 3.1 Pro. The provider processes only the text needed for each request, under its business API terms and our contract with it.
Drafts can be wrong, so check anything important before you send or post it.
Link to this answerYes. Email hello@fieldworkopsdesk.com and ask us to see, export or delete what we hold. We reply within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy and Terms for the full picture.

Account and cancelling
Yes. Cancel any tool at any time from the Billing page in your client portal. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and the tool keeps working until then.
Link to this answerWhen the paid period ends, the tool stops. The chatbot stops answering on your website, and follow-ups and reminders stop sending. Your records stay in your account unless you close it or ask us to delete them.
Link to this answerFees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires it. That's why the free trial comes first: try every tool before you pay. The full wording is in our Terms.
Link to this answerWe may pause the tool until the payment goes through, and the Billing page shows it as paused. We give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
Link to this answerUse Forgot password on the sign-in page. We email you a link to set a new one.

Working with us
No. Setup is copy and paste: a line of code, a forwarding rule, a calendar link or a CSV. Each tool's page in the portal walks you through it, and if you get stuck, email us.
Link to this answerWe talk through where your team's time goes and whether a tool, a few tools or a done-for-you project makes sense. If you've run the audit, we go through your report. There's no obligation and no hard sell.
Link to this answerFor work the tools don't cover, we build automations in your own accounts and tools. Each project gets a fixed quote in a written proposal before any work starts. See Pricing for the typical range.
Link to this answerEmail hello@fieldworkopsdesk.com, or use the contact page.
Link to this answerWe're a small team. We read every email and aim to reply within two business days. There's no phone line or live chat with a person, so email is the best way to reach us.
